HAIL and Linx Green Ribbon Coffee Morning Ballymun

Karolyn Ward - Monday, May 21, 2018

On Friday, HAIL joined in partnership with the Linx Project in Ballymun to run our second Green Ribbon coffee morning.
It was a beautiful day as HAIL tenants, clients, staff, Linx clients and staff, neighbours and representatives from the local community came together to celebrate Green Ribbon month, start the conversation on mental health and say no to mental health stigma.

Linx opened the doors of their drop-in centre on Woodhazel Terrace for the coffee morning and supplied homemade cakes, snacks and refreshments.
HAIL tenants Michael and Colm entertained us on the guitar and local businesses donated prizes for a free raffle held on the morning.
Robert Murphy, owner and manager of Supervalu, Ballymun did the honours and planted an olive tree, (which was kindly donated by Homebase in Gullivers Retail Park) in the Linx garden to mark the occasion. The olive tree was chosen as it traditionally symbolises peace and friendship which we strive to achieve through holding these mental health awareness raising events.

Thank you to everyone who made the day so successful;
The Linx Project Manager Paula Cunningham and her team.
