Governance

HAIL is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for providing strategic leadership to the organisation. The Board volunteer their expertise and time to ensure the highest quality standards of governance and oversight of the organisation.

The Board reviews and approves the strategic plan, annual budgets and long term financial plans, company policies, monitors performance and approves capital expenditure and investment decisions.

The Board meets regularly as required. There are five Committees of the Board:

  • Audit and Risk Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Nominations Committee
  • Properties Committee
  • Support Services Committee

HAIL follows the Code of Practice for Good Governance for Charitable Organisations and complies with the Statements for Recommended Practice (SORP) for Charities where appropriate. We are registered with the Approved Housing Body Regulatory Authority (AHBRA). We are also registered with the Charities Regulator and the Lobbying Register.
