HAIL staff taking part in unique fundraiser

Staff at HAIL are taking part in a unique fundraising event to help raise much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

The fundraising challenge will see HAIL staff complete ‘Two Marathon’s in a Month’ – that’s 84 km over the next four weeks! Staff members will complete the 84 km distance by running, walking or kayaking. Each July, The Irish Cancer holds a ‘Marathon in a Month’ fundraiser, where members of the public complete the 42 km distance inside a month. Inspired by the Marathon in a Month campaign, Staff at HAIL decided to challenge themselves even further, and increase the distance to 84km – two Marathon’s inside one month!   

Martina Smith, CEO of HAIL said: ‘‘This year, we wanted to take part in an event that would be challenging for our staff, but also something that would allow us to contribute as a team, and for a very worthwhile cause. The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly impacted many charitable organisations, and we’re delighted to be able to help raise funds that can help provide important services for the Irish Cancer Society.’’
